Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the UMB Pageants Season 6 voting portal collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Who is responsible

UMB Elegant Monarch Private Limited, House No. 25C, Block-J, PH1, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi, Delhi 110052, India, is responsible for personal data collected through the voting portal.

2. What we collect

When you vote

  • Your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Details of your purchase: the contestant, vote pack, amount, date and time.
  • Payment references from Razorpay (order ID, payment ID and payment status).

We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, netbanking password or other payment credentials. These are entered on Razorpay’s secure checkout.

When you browse

  • Standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, kept in server logs to keep the portal secure and prevent abuse.
  • Information saved in your own browser (local storage): your contact details for faster checkout, your supporter level and the contestants you voted for. This stays on your device; you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

3. Why we use it

  • To process your payment and credit your votes.
  • To send payment confirmations and respond to support or refund requests.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, bots and payment abuse, and to audit vote counts.
  • To show your first name in the live feed, unless you choose to hide it.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
  • Hosting and technology providers who run the portal for us under confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities when required by law, court order or to prevent fraud.

Contestants do not receive your contact details. Vote totals per contestant are public.

5. Cookies

The voting portal does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Razorpay may set cookies during checkout to secure the payment; see Razorpay’s privacy policy for details.

6. How long we keep it

We keep transaction records for as long as required by Indian tax and company law, and other personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.

7. Security

The portal uses HTTPS encryption, payments are verified by cryptographic signature with Razorpay, and access to voter records is restricted to authorised UMB staff.

8. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@umbpageants.com. Some records must be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request; we will tell you if that applies.

9. Children

Voting is intended for adults. Anyone under 18 should vote only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

10. Grievance Officer

For any complaint about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer at info@umbpageants.com (subject: “Privacy grievance”) or write to UMB Elegant Monarch Private Limited, House No. 25C, Block-J, PH1, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi, Delhi 110052, India. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
